froglogic Announce Availability of Alpha Snapshot of Automated Qt GUI Testing Tool Squish

Hamburg, Germany - 2003-08-13 froglogic today announced the availability of a first alpha snapshot of Squish for evaluation. froglogic Squish is a professional cross platform automated GUI testing framework for applications written using Trolltech®'s Qt® GUI toolkit.

Squish makes it easy to make an existing Qt application testable. Test scripts can be written manually in Tcl or Python or recorded automatically (and edited afterwards). Test cases can use arbitrary test data files and there is also support for data-driven testing. The framework is very flexible and open to allow integration of e.g. test results into existing environments.

The entire system can be controlled via command line tools. In addition, Squish includes a GUI front-end to develop, record, execute and debug tests.
