froglogic Releases Squish 2.1, The Leading Qt GUI Test Tool

Hamburg, Germany - 2005-11-16 froglogic GmbH today announced the availability of Squish 2.1, the new version of the most advanced automated GUI testing framework for Qt applications.

With Squish 2.1, froglogic focused on making Squish even easier to use by improving existing features in addition to adding some highly requested new features. The development was driven by customer feedback and many customers and evaluators already started using this new version during the development phase of Squish 2.1.

"We have a challenging testing environment due to the way our products tightly integrate with 3rd party CAD/CAM systems. Automating the interactions with the CAD system was essential in order to conduct realistic tests. When we initially evaluated Squish, we really liked the way it uses standard scripting languages for its test scripts which we took great advantage of. For version Squish 2.1, froglogic added a "record hints" facility that allows our application to directly control what appears in the recorded test script.
