GUI And Web Testing Tool Squish integrates into Eclipse TPTP
Hamburg, Germany - 2007-09-18 froglogic GmbH, the makers of the popular automated GUI and Web testing tool Squish, today announced their integration solution for the Eclipse Test & Performance Tools Platform Project (TPTP).
Squish is a professional, cross-platform GUI and regression testing tool enabling the creation and execution of automated GUI tests for applications based on different GUI technologies. This includes applications based on Java SWT/Eclipse RCP, Java AWT/Swing, Trolltech's Qt, Web/HTML/AJAX and many other UI technologies. Squish sets itself apart from other GUI test tools by closely integrating into the specific GUI technologies which leads to very robust and stable GUI tests.
The Eclipse Test & Performance Tools Platform Project (TPTP) provides powerful frameworks and services for an open platform to manage and administrate the entire test automation lifecycle.
"We are excited to bring Squish and Eclipse TPTP closely together. We strongly believe in the open TPTP platform for test management and want to ensure that our users can take advantage of two excellent and complementary frameworks for their test automation process." said Rob Buis, froglogic's test automation lead.
With the Squish TPTP integration, Squish tightly integrates into the Eclipse platform. Users are able to create, execute, manage and control their Squish test runs from within Eclipse TPTP.
The new plugin will be part of the next feature release of Squish. Preview versions are already available on request.
If you are interested in the Squish TPTP plugin or would like to evaluate or purchase Squish, please contact squish@froglogic.com or visit www.froglogic.com/squish.
