We are very excited about this opportunity. Qt and froglogic are long-time partners and share a large, common market and customer base. With testing and code coverage analysis increasingly becoming an integral part of the software development process, enhancing Qt’s product offering with our QA tools will provide customers with a much richer and complete offering.
We are jointly committed to continue the development and support for our tools outside the Qt market, such as GUI testing for non-Qt applications and code coverage for non-GUI applications. Qt already supports non-Qt developers with the Qt Creator IDE and plans to further grow into more markets with our tool offerings.
On a personal note, we both worked as software engineers at Trolltech, the predecessor of The Qt Company, before founding froglogic in 2003. So we share a common long time appreciation for Qt and the Qt ecosystem.
We founded froglogic with the initial goal to make the life for Qt developers easier by providing QA automation tools. Later we expanded our tooling to a much larger audience by adding support for other technologies. Over the years we grew into a company of ca. 40 people further developing and expanding our product portfolio according to our customer needs.
With the acquisition, the whole froglogic team, including the two of us, will become part of the larger Qt family. We highly value you, our customers, and are full committed to our focus of providing our customers and users with the best tools possible.
