Hamburg, Germany – 2005-07-12 froglogic GmbH today released the third major version of Tq – a Tcl/Tk-Qt integration framework.
Tq enables the integration of the Tcl/Tk and Qt toolkits in a single application. This way it is possible to incrementally port Tcl/Tk applications to Qt while still keeping Tk components running in the new application. Besides event loop integration, Tq ensures modal dialog behavior across toolkit boundaries, adjusts color schemes and allows embedding Tk widgets into Qt widgets and vice versa.
The following new features have been added to Tq 3.0:
- Support for Qt 4.1 and 4.2
- Additional type of event loop integration covering the scenario of a binary-only Tcl/Tk executable.
- Tcl/Tk package definition file
- New and more flexible build configuration
- Configurable color and font merging
- Miscellaneous build and runtime improvements
Tq customers and evaluators can now find Tq 3.0 packages in their download area. For more information about Tq or to obtain an evaluation version of Tq contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
